The ECO2SMART project (Interreg Italy-Slovenia) has produced a new video summarizing the exceptional achievements and pilot activities carried out during two years of implementation.
The video highlights three key pilot interventions that contribute to adaptation to climate change through ecosystem restoration and conservation:
- Restoration of seagrass meadows and coastal wetlands: Measures to strengthen ecosystems that are crucial for carbon sequestration and biodiversity conservation.
- Arrangement of an urban park with a water retention basin: An innovative solution that combines a green urban environment with efficient water management.
Furthermore, the video also showcases the pilot activity in the field of education and awareness-raising. Using a Citizen Science tool and educational games, the project encourages the active role of citizens and raises awareness about the importance of ecosystem-based solutions.
Watch the video and discover how ECO2SMART is creating a smarter, more cross-border connected, and greener region with concrete actions!
